Located at the farthest edge of Bowie Town Center, this bright and sunny American restaurant proves that independents can make a big splash and compete with chain eateries. In keeping with its diminutive size, the restaurant presents a small but compact menu for lunch and dinner, emphasizing in both fresh seafood, salads and a handful of meat-based offerings. At lunch, you?ll find several sandwiches, including a generous Black Angus burger; at dinner, look for rack of lamb, slow-roasted free-range chicken; or a Black Angus ribeye steak, a smaller version of which comes at lunch. Decidedly down-home American, the steak is served with cheese-enriched mashed potatoes and a topping of fried onions. Don?t stint on desserts: the chocolate cake is moistened with a chocolate-blackberry sauce and is so rich its nickname is "death by chocolate," said the waitstaff.
