Sicilian-style pizza is what Geppetto Cafe does best. It's what has kept patrons coming back since 1977. The thick, square-cut pies come with a full variety of toppings, from pepperoni, mushrooms and prosciutto to artichokes, broccoli and roasted peppers. You can build your own or select from one of the combinations: classic, vegetarian, meat-lovers or gourmet. Geppetto also serves Neapolitan (thin-crust) pizza, as well as sandwiches, burgers and traditional Italian entrees like spaghetti with meatballs, veal scaloppini and chicken Parmesan. Portions here are ample, but if you'd like an appetizer, there's the white pizza, thin-crusted with plenty of garlic; seafood shrimp bruschetta; and the old standby, minestrone. Sandwiches and burgers have the expected Italian twist, like the Gorgonzola burger with roasted peppers and the grilled portobello sandwich topped with caramelized onions. Geppetto classes up its casual atmosphere with cloth napkins and fresh flowers. Often packed with families and groups, the restaurant only takes reservations for parties of seven or more.
