Rate and Write a Review Closed for renovations, but you can grab a Galileo Grill sandwich at Roberto Donna's Bebo Trattoria in Arlington, VA. Serious foodies in the DC area know where to go when celebration is on the menu and money is no object. They go to Galileo to revel in chef Roberto Donna's mastery of Piedmontese cuisine. For an extra-special treat, make a reservation for a seat in Laboratorio del Galileo -- the glass-walled private dining room inside the state-of-the-art kitchen where Donna and his team of chefs prepare custom dinners of a dozen small courses. For a bit more than $100, you can work your way through a dinner that is an experience as much as a meal. For less pricey alternatives, opt for Galileo, with a regular a la carte menu, or the more casual Osteria del Galileo (nothing's over $12). Either way, you're still in good hands. No spaghetti and meatballs here. Galileo's menu offers a mouth-watering lineup: linguini and fresh shucked Maine clams tossed with marinated and oven-baked tomatoes, parsley and extra virgin olive oil; fettuccine with a ragout of duck; risotto with Parmesan, black truffle and pigeon breast; roasted halibut served over a celery-root puree with porcini mushrooms and veal jus. Keep an eye out for bold-faced names in the dining room; Washington's movers and shakers know a good meal when they taste one. -- Jon Bowen
