Rate and Write a Review Tucked into a renovated townhouse on an Old Town side street, away from the bustle on King Street, Bilbo Baggins is easy to miss if you're not looking for it. But look for it. You won't soon forget entrees like Emu Fan Filets (napoleon of emu filets with black mission figs, grilled asparagus, apple and Camembert quesadilla, fluffy mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms in a pool of thyme demi-glace). Or you can tuck into the fruits of the sea with Linguine Frutti Di Mare (jumbo shrimp, calamari, mussels, sea scallops, backfin crab meat and fresh pasta in a light basil marinara sauce). Sunday Brunch is one of the best reasons to visit Bilbo Baggins. It's an a la carte affair with innovative choices ranging from spicy to sweet: salmon and crab cake benedict seasoned with jerk spices (spicy) or raisin-bread French toast with caramelized apples (sweet). Or just throw your diet out the window and order the fettuccine carbonara: pasta tossed with smoked applewood bacon, wild mushrooms, garlic, shaved Parmesan and cream, with poached eggs. It's breakfast and lunch -- and dinner -- in one plate. -- Jon Bowen

Good bread though, if you wade through the rest of the debris thoughout service, the poorly presented meal, and the waiting list. A slightly promising although boring bar, no parking, no reason at all as to why to go there unless you live in Old Town and want to way boring prices.
