Don't expect lager louts and black and tans -- Trio's Fox & Hounds isn't ye olde English pub. You'll find an all-American drinking establishment, with sports on the tube, a jukebox cranking out tunes -- and Kentucky bourbon behind the bar. The spare interior is a suitable backdrop for the languid, casually dressed twentysomethings who kick back here for after-hours socializing. But as soon as the weather begins to thaw, the best seats in the house are outdoors on the sidewalk, where people-watching becomes a spectator sport. This bar has earned its favorable reputation by always serving cheap, strong drinks. Happy hour rocks weekdays with inexpensive rail drinks and domestic beers. Even when you order the finger food, you'll only part with a minimal number of greenbacks when you settle up your tab. -- Elisabeth Frater

I remember that day. I was working there. That gay couple was asked to stop "making out" at the fox. They werenÂt just kissing, they were sucking face and groaping each other. The fox isnÂt a place for that kind of activity. Go, have fun, drink eat, but nobody should be forced to sit and watch a happy couple swap spit and touch each other inappropriately. So, to you targotrumsid. Get a life, and if you want to watch a few dudes hump each other for awhile, rent some porn. Fox Manager 01 - 06 Peyton-

As mentioned, the people watching is awesome. Unfortunately, I am still trying to figure out how this hetersexual dinosaur has managed to survive in what is for the most part "our space" (ie, predominantly gay & lesbian). The service here is absolutely AWFUL. Don't sit down unless you have the patience to deal with the most incompetant wait staff I have ever encountered. I guess that passes as "easy going," but there's no excuse for waiting 30 mins for a new drink, or longer for the check. Only go for the people watching, if you must.

everyone does talk about the drinks and the food but what about the friendly bartender, Peyton. Not only is he nice to look at but he has an awesome personality and is a great bartender. His service is the best I have seen in a long time.

trio's is a totally awesome bar! the drinks are strong and cheap, and Peyton is the most awesome bartender! that's why me and my friends keep coming back almost every weekend :o)
