The folks who brought you Ciao Bella and other fine Italian dining spots also have a downtown Minneapolis mainstay. At once reminiscent of a Roman palace and what a Roman speakeasy might look like, Zelo's bronze and black interior is -- dramatic. Plush booths, a vaulted ceiling and just enough lighting create a mood of comfortable intimacy under the Foshay Tower. The staff here is on you with the same immediacy as the decor, but in a good way. You'll be presented with yet another northern Italian (Tuscan) menu that offers little in the way of dishes that are stunning in their uniqueness. Pork tenderloin, various seafood, and pastas anchor a list of likely entrees. Wood-roasted pizzas and panini sandwiches are more intriguing, and moderately priced. The Zelo bar, which you'll walk through to get to the restrooms, is in style with the just-legal drinking and ogling crowd. That room is another world, one filled with the chatter and laughter of singles draped in black. Zelo is a good alternative to your regular downtown lunch place, or a romantic choice for after-the-show dessert. -- John Sharpe

Since I can't figure out how to email you with this information-hopefully you will read this first-before you post it. At the very least, eight of your posted reviews under Zelo are actually about The Melting Pot- some of them are not very good-and if people don't look closely enoug, they will think they're for Zelo. Could you please correct this?

Great and tasty!

My boyfriend and I went to this beautiful restaurant on a Saturday night. We made reservations ahead (very recommendable) since this place is busy all the time. The service was great, our server was very kind, simply excellent! We had some appetizers, as an entree we had the steak which it was perfectly cooked and tasty. They have a very extensive list of wine, a little pricey but worth it! Nice environment, highly recommendable

Was a fantastic restaurant with great food and service. They even cut my food into bite size pieces to fondue. Nice to take my time without someone over your shoulder. Loved It

Plan to stay for 2 or more hours. We spent $141.00 for two (3 glasses of wine). My husband got very sick too. Can't prove that it was the food, but it seems to be the culprit. Very expensive, very skimpy portions, very iffy satisfaction..,be leary.
