Fits of fish fantasy are not uncommon at the Oceanaire Seafood Room. One look at the menu tells you that you have reached the rapture of the deep, food-wise. Fresh bounty is harvested and flown in daily to gratify oyster bar patrons, caviar aficionados, and those who like their sea bass, shellfish and snapper to have some snap. Shipments arrive often enough that the menu may change between the time you park your car and reach your table. The oyster selection, usually 10-12 types, is delectable and addictive. You'll be impressed with both presentation of your entree and your personal choice of preparation. In many cases, entrees and sides are sizeable enough for two. The very smart leather and wood supper-club interior is reminiscent of the '30s, as well as the probability you will pay handsomely for your indulgence. A snazzy bar touts beer, traditional cocktails and a very notable wine list. Sell your fishing boat, dress up a little and spend some of the profits on a meal prepared by people who do this for a living. -- John Sharpe

Stay Away

I was overcharged and underwhelmed. But at least the waitstaff is as snooty as any around. If you're looking to spend a lot of money and feel like you got something for it try Murray's. Oceanaire is for 30 somethings with very little fine dining experience. Red Lobster is a better bet than this place. Heck, Long John Silvers is a better bet.

It could be!!!

If they (Oceanaire) tried, they could be the best. Atomosphere is there! Increase portion size by +30%, and decrease price by -10% and you may have a winning equation, seriously. I do math for a living, and WOWing the customer is much more effective than leaving them second guessing. Contact me if you need help for free (this is not a self endorsement)

Very over ranked

Having spent the past 16 years living in Hawai and Fla I would say this ranks right there with Long Johns Silver..but at 20x the price.....the place to go..maybe...best seafood?? not.......
