With two levels offering four themed bars and two stages that draw the best in local and national entertainment, The Quest is fast becoming the hot spot in the historic Minneapolis Warehouse District. Originally known as Prince's Glam Slam in the early '90s, the Purple One handed over the reigns in 1996 and the club underwent a name change and facelift. Upstairs, you'll find the Galaxy Room's outer space motif, the Garden Room with its lush flora and water fountain, and the cozy atmosphere of the Ascot Jazz Room featuring live acoustic music. The main level offers two well-staffed bars and a huge dance floor with great sight lines to catch the latest and legendary DJs, hip-hop, Latin and rock artists making use of the clubs high-tech sound and light system.

so so dance club

I have only been to the Quest twice... Once for the Llyod banks rap concert.. and another on a saturday nite dance party for b96. This club can get very crowded on the weekends and the staff is kinda "rough" but friendly... The crowd is mostly Urban with hip hop flava on dance nites. So if thats what your into then this is your spot! If your white or other dont expect there to be any babes of your race there though. You will find maybe 2 or 3. Fun place despite the lack of diversity in the crowd. Usual dress codes apply so be prepared if you go there. No white T's or white tennis shoes.. doo rags.. ball caps.. an all that jazz. I would recommend the concerts there because you are close enough to the stage to have fun.. and NO DRESS CODES. Its worth checking out for yourself! Not as hot as the old Glam slam..but it has potential if they get new management.

THE BEST
By sugarrock14 on 07/14/2004
The Quest is amazing. First of all I love being in the warehouse district. The building itself is wonderful. Second, I was there for an A.F.I. concert. The beauty of the Quest is that it's very INTIMATE. You can see the band, even from the back and the sound is great. You feel like the band is singing for you. Thirdly, the people. The people here in Minnesota are great and the staff was excellent. This is definetly a place you'll want to go to for a superb musical experience.
