With one of the best views in Tampa Bay, the 400-seat Castaway is smack dab on the water, offering a caliber of continental cuisine that pacifies the grandparents from Michigan and pleases demanding young urbanites. Just about every seat amid the kitschy 1970s-era sea shanty decor affords sunset views, and the servers are efficient and friendly.The highlight of the week is the restaurant's mammoth Sunday brunch buffet, where hungry risers can pick from more than 60 different dishes, including pastries and rolls, waffles and omelets, seafood, hot and cold dishes and a carving station. Seafood is The Castaway's strong suit; the stuffed flounder in bearnaise sauce, shrimp, crawfish and king crab are highly recommended.
