Housed in the historic Amos Building, the Syracuse Suds Factory has a built-in microbrewery run by their very own brew master, Norm. OK, so it's not the guy from Cheers, but he does know a lot about beer -- and according to one employee, "he'll talk your ear off" if you'd like to arrange an evening group tour. Six of Norm's concoctions are on tap at the bar, including Suds's legendary BrickHouse Brew, alongside other local microbrews, bottled beers, wines and liquors. But alcohol's not the only thing you'll find here. The Factory's always-open kitchen dishes up a wide variety of affordable bar foods, soups, salads, entrees and desserts. You can even dine privately with up to 1,000 of your closest friends in the banquet room. If you're looking for a little live entertainment, head to Suds on Wednesday nights between

Cheap (in a bad way)
By espy90 on 04/16/2007
The beer tasted like soy sauce and the mixed drinks are made using automatic pourers......unless you are okay with paying $5 for a glass of juice, dont order a mixed drink. The buffalo chicken tenders were good, but how can you mess those up?

Teh Suds Factory Secret
By davidtyler on 03/02/2005
Suds has a big secret.... Norm, the brewmaster. He's been making beer for that establishment for around 10 years and has been consistantly one of the best. His Weizen is to kill for. Make sure you add at least one slice of lemon. It really brings the flavour out. His Pale ale is a great alternative to all those bottle beers that are made in huge factories. His pallette doesn't stop there, though. He creates all kinds of flavours that I just don't have time to go into here. Do yourself a favour ... stop in to Suds and, instead of reaching for a Coors or some other such beer, ask for one of Norm's brews.
