The name says pizza, but Bruno's offers a lot more than that. Pizzas come in three sizes and with a variety of toppings, including shrimp, pineapple, olives, and the ever-popular sausage and pepperoni. A white pizza is just that (sans sauce) and is topped with broccoli, cauliflower, onions, spinach, shrimp and feta cheese. Sandwiches include Italian subs or meatballs with cheese and sauce. Choose from five types of pasta, then top it with your choice of mushroom sauce, meatballs, sausage and mushrooms, or try ravioli, cavatelli, lasagna, gnocchi, manicotti or baked ziti. Other entrees include shrimp scampi and veal Francese with mushrooms. Eat in the dining room or order carry out. Bruno's has a full bar.

Ive ate at Brunos 2 times,once dine in, the other time delivery. First off the service is abyssmal. Both times, the food took forever, even though the dine in was not too busy. The order takers were not pleasant by any means, one even had an attitude. I wonder if this is because my fiance is Puerto Rican. The food itself is mediocre at best. Ive ate authentic Italian food in Little Italy, this is far, far from it- more like a watered down, plastic Midwestern version. Even the pizza is average at best, and overpriced- it tastes almost like a frozen pizza. national chains like papa johns or pizza hut offer a better product for a better price, to be frank.
Id advise you avoid brunos and travel to chicago for many excellent choices for pizza and authentic italian cuisine.
Bruno's is true Italian
While I have never dined "In" at the Prairie St. restaurant, I've had their carry out many times. Che buona cena !! (What a great meal! ) Meatball subs are to die for. Pizza is amazing! Perfetto pizze! Buon appetito!

Brunos is the best pizza ever. If anyone is ever in South Bend you must go to a Brunos location, preferably the original so you can meet Bruno's wife as you check out. A supreme pizza with the thick crust is the best you can get. The best in South Bend!
