Still World Class
By howardpaul on 04/11/2007
There is one BEST restaurant in the area (amidst plenty of very good to great eateries). Elizabeth's is where I can always take the most jaded of international travelers for a memorable meal. Nothing beats their wine cellar and the sommelier (co-owner), whose pallet I would place side by side against the best anywhere in the world. Opt for their tasting menu and let them pair the wines. The price of admission is well worth the experience.

best in savannah
By oxhouse on 03/02/2007
As a native of Savannah I remember the days when the only restaurant in Savannah was Rex, which served great steaks in the 40's and 50's. Now the city is full of new and interesting places. The best of the best, hands down, is Elizabeth's, which uses in season local produce and game and cooks them a la francaise. It may cost a little more than most of its competitors, but the price is worth it. I consider it on a par with Commander's Palace in old New Orleans and the Saddle River Inn in New Jersey.

AWSOME!!!
By nstaton123 on 01/23/2007
I have lived in " a big city" but have been in Savannah now for four years. We eat out all the time and money is not really an issue. Elizabeths is our favorite place hands down. The service is unmatched anywhere. The chef is awsome, and the presentation is wonderful! We go to Elizabeths for all our special events, but my husband and I love it so much, any ole excuse will do!
