Rate and Write a Review Bored with the Southern dining scene? Tired of going out for grits all the time? Have we got a place for you. From the moment you walk into Casbah, you'll feel miles away from Broughton Street and a world away from home. The decor here is that of a Moroccan celebration tent, complete with lavish tapestries and gold ceilings, and a belly dancer or two to enhance the mood. They do their thing while you feast on authentic cuisine like kimrone bidawi (a shrimp dish), Cornish hen bastila (a pie of sorts, wrapped in phyllo) and lamb mhammar (baked and spiced). Eating with your hands is encouraged, as is tipping the dancers.

Best Resturant in Town!
This place couldn't get any better... the best food I've ever had. I still can't stop thinking about the place and I came back from my vacation months ago!
Rock the Casbah
This was my first Moroccan dining experience, and I was impressed. I went with some friends on Sunday night to meet some friends and watch some belly dancing (my mom would be proud). You get the full treatment at the Casbah, the waiter brings out a vessel for your hand washing because you eat with your fingers (cool!). The menu has a full gambit of middle eastern fair and unlike muslim countries offers alcoholic beverages. The entertainment was great, authentic belly dancing that includes sword balancing. At the end of the meal you are once again offered water for hand wahing and rose water to scent your hands. If I ever get another date, I will probably bring he to this place.
PS: tip the dancers
