Post-modern diner. Is that a restaurant genre? It is now. Q serves up scrumptious, huge portions of comfort food in a space-age-future-meets-1950s-Texas diner in the Inner Richmond. Neighborhood families, young couples and students line up on weekends to scarf down steaming plates of chorizo and eggs, strawberry and cream cheese brioche French toast or an assortment of eggs benedict. During the week, dinner options range from big healthy salads to plates of fried chicken or mac 'n' cheese with tater tots. The ambience is casual and food reasonably priced, but Q has also won awards for their expansive wine list -- a well-selected range of over 200 California favorites.
