Founded in 1991, Los Gatos Brewing Company has become a certified Los Gatos landmark. Wildly popular with area residents, the Brewing Company has also attracted beer lovers from far and wide to sample the authentic ales and lagers created in the restaurants massive brewing vats. Despite a sometimes-obnoxious noise level, the Brewing Company is a feast for all the other senses. Some serious thought went into the design of the interior, which boasts wooden panels that used to belong to a St. Louis brothel and a marble threshold that is rumored to have stubbed the executive toe of President McKinley when it was housed in the old Fillmore Hotel. The New American menu features a healthy selection of seafood, wood-fired pizzas, and choice cuts of meat. Perhaps best of all, the Los Gatos Brewing Company will still serve you a medium-rare burger, which at $8 is sure to satisfy your hunger and your budget. -- Maya Kroth
