Perched on the city's most charming hill and commanding a majestic view of the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz and Treasure Island, Julius' Castle is the place to go when you want to pop the question or impress out-of-town guests. In 1995, the castle underwent $1 million worth of renovations, adding new marble and an exhibition kitchen. Two Victorian-style dining rooms display glittering chandeliers, ornate moldings and comfy chairs, plus there's a turret room that seats ten. The menu features fancy Italian/Continental dishes with imperial prices. Starters include beluga caviar, Dungeness crab gnocchi and seared Atlantic scallops. Main courses are rack of lamb, poached Maine lobster and roast Muscovy duck breast. The wine list earns accolades and the service is old-world and solicitous.

Great Dinner

The food & service was awesome. The night we went the view was clear and you could see across the bay to Martinez. Perfect romantic resturant. Bartender Jake was fun and the waitress Kristy was right on top of things. I would highly recommend this restaurant especially to anyone with out of town guests. Valet Parking makes it very assesible.
