At first glance, you may think you've walked onto a quiet street in Savannah. The Los Gatos installment of the Chart House is housed in a pale yellow restored Victorian mansion. An expansive porch stretches towards one side of the building as a beautifully manicured garden welcomes dinner guests. Formerly the Coggeshall mansion, the restaurant serves up American dishes with influences from a variety of other cultures. Many people associate the Chart House with steak and potatoes, but the owners have expanded the menu by adding an array of seafood, including salmon and ahi tuna. The restaurant, open only for dinner, is located in the chic shopping district of upper-crust Los Gatos, where you'll find a lot of free three-hour public parking. -- Stephanie Loleng
