Cha Cha Cha may not have amazing or authentic Cuban food, but that's not really the point. Don't get us wrong, the food is decent and they've got enough black beans and plantains to make good on their Cuban claims, but the reason this place tends to be packed is because it's a fun place to go with groups. Kids love the colorful dining room, college students like the cheap pitchers of sangria and groups in general appreciate the fact that they don't have to worry about being "the loud table". Add to that the fact that the tapas-focused menu is ideal for sharing and that service is good despite the crowds and you've got a great go-to restaurant for groups or family dinners.

Why would you?

A group of 9 of us went for an early dinner/happy hour. Hugh, the host refused to seat us until the entire party had arrived, the restauraunt was half empty. Another party behind us had 3 of their people there waiting for a fourth, once again Hugh refused to seat them. We went to the bar and sat at a table, the bartender had maybe 6 customers and yet stated "I only give service at the bar." The tortilla chips were cold and stale and the salsa was too oniony, hence the lack of charge. Last I looked sangria required something other then cheap-imitation, two-buck Chuck and green apples floating in it to make it palatable. The calamari was good. Service was almost non-existent. I asked to speak to the "manager," and the was curtly informed by "Hugh" the host that our waiter was the manager. Poor service, crappy attitude, mediocre food. Why would you?
