The Beacon Bar & Grill, located at the south shores Camp Richardson Resort, is a great place to camp out. Literally. You can rent a cabin or space in the campground and then stroll over to this lively restaurant. A fresh fish, such as a halibut in lime-and-chile sauce accompanied by corn and squash, is offered nightly. The Alaskan king crab legs are a signature dish. They also have a delicious vegetarian pasta with a pungent sauce of sun-dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives, capers and garlic. The wine list is inexpensive and brief. They do have a full bar. Theres also a pier with gas for the boats, dock moorings and buoy tie-ups (for weekly or monthly rentals). On summer weekends, theres live music on the deck.

HORRIBLE
Bad food, bad employees and HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT.
Very expensive.
I will give it ultra-high rating for its unbeatable view and ambiance.
The Rum Runner (signature drink) and Calamari (signature appetizer) are great.
If you do risk it, find a 2 for 1 coupon in the fold-out tourist map.
