Great omelets and Mediterranean food don't often share the same menu, but that's just one of the things that make the 24th Street Cafe (aka Joe's Cafe, as the sign indicates) unique. The place provides water and treats for your furry friends, employs a sometimes surly but always entertaining chef, and more importantly, makes some of the best gyro and falafel sandwiches in the city. It's also a neighborhood restaurant, so there's always a welcoming, family vibe, and great people watching on a lazy weekend morning or afternoon.
