Rate and Write a Review Residents of Delaware and Las Vegas have long been fans of Capriotti's thick subs. San Diego drops the avocados and sprouts and get down to some serious back-east sandwiching on the Left Coast. It takes an impressive appetite to even finish one of the "small" subs, which measure nine inches, let alone the larges, which near two feet in length and overflow with fillings. Some of the best subs are served hot off the griddle. The mushroom cheese steak lets you choose sweet and/or spicy peppers to mix with sizzling beef and onions. Great stuff, but do those around you a favor and pop a breath mint after lunch. Capriotti's take on the Reuben, the "Capastrami," covers hot pastrami with Swiss cheese, cole slaw and Russian dressing. The Bobbie is a bit of Thanksgiving home cooking served all year: Turkey is roasted for 12 hours and hand pulled to stay moist and tender. They top it with stuffing and cranberry sauce. A pleasant surprise for veg-heads is the option for soy-based mock meat.
