Parking

The #1 hot airport parking tip is to NOT park at the airport for more than one day. If you're leaving for more than that, you'll be better off (ie not bankrupt) at one of the many off-site lots.

Quick Tips: 1. Parking: Do not park at the airport for more than one day. A micro-second over 24 hours and you'll incur another day's charge at $18. Try Park Shuttle & Fly instead. (888-955-PARK) 2. Transportation: A 10-mile trip in a cab runs about $20. Most shuttles make many stops, are not price regulated and cost around $10 to $15 per 20 miles. 3. Inter-Terminal Transfer: A red airport bus stops at each terminal about every seven to ten minutes, 24 hours a day. 4. Food: The Commuter Terminal has one snack bar. Terminals 1 or 2 have the normal fast food, as well as Hang 10 Brewing (Terminal 1) and Home Turf Sports Grill (Terminal 2). 5. Special Notes: Know which terminal your gate is. Do not park more than 60 minutes in ST. The tickets will kill you.

cab runs

If you are going from Imperial Beach to the airport the cab runs for two people is $50.00!!! Don't know where you get $20!! I think the airport is fine where it is, only a moron would put it next to an active military runway!!
