Scampi's boasts fresh seafood, homemade pastas, aged prime meats, superb wines, friendly staff and the best view of the island sunset. The menu features unusual entrees, including the award- winning peanut butter shrimp (jumbo shrimp sauteed in garlic, jalapeno and peanut butter and served over rice). Scampi's is also known for offering one of the finest and most extensive wine lists in south Texas, featuring over 200 domestic and imported wines.

great food
had better for less
Was in Padre Island for a week this October 2002 and sampled alot of food when we were there. This BY FAR was the worst place we had eaten. The waiter was rude and tended not to check on our needs as much as the Hispanic water boy who couldn't understand a word we were saying. DO NOT order the veal! It is overcooked and you can taste the eggwash that it is drowned in. We had our children (7 & 9) with us and the waiter totally ignored them when they placed their order. Overall, I have had better food and service at lesser expensive restuarants with waitstaff more than happy to recieve our generous 22% tip. When we are back in May of 2003, I will be sure and not leave my tourist dollars with this establishment.
SEAFOOD DELIGHT...
Scampi's has always had tasty food at an unexpensive price, and a nice outdoor deck to get a view of that setting sun. Good brew and bar.
