For 10 years, The Rage has catered to the cutting edge in trance, house and drum 'n' bass music. What's more: They've recently installed a computerized, laser-light show and state-of-the-art sound system. Sacramento's hip 20-somethings come to see and be seen while dancing to a different beat every night of the week on the excitingly new, three-tiered dance floor. Tuesday's Pure events feature trend- setting, world-renowned DJs spinning the latest European mixes. On Fridays, The Rage hosts College Night Part II featuring today's Top-40 dance and alternative trax. GrooveJet Live, happening on Saturdays, is broadcast live on local FM radio. Saturday nights also include Way Bitchin '80s in the new improved Side Room, where that decade's anthems pound all night long. During the remainder of the week, the Side Room is a showcase for Sacramento's finest DJs spinning drum 'n' bass. -- Brian Elsasser

Not Called The Rage
By darkzero63 on 02/27/2007
Sorry to say but this place is not called The Rage anymore... It is known as the Bar Code because the owner owns The Park Ultra Lounge and wanted to pattern this club after his other nightclub. Still a great place to go especially on Sunday Nights.

Beware...
By dirrtybandit04 on 12/03/2005
This club honestly is ok if your asian but if your any other race you will get hasseled. This club is the type of club you take a first timer to so they can experience the worst club before going to a hot club. Sac doesn't have that much to offer for teens and clubbing. This club gets a low rating due to the fact that they repeat their music over and over and they play stuff from like three years ago. also the fact that you get hasseled right when u get in line.. Don't go to this club unless you want to be disappointed. and it aint worth the damn money to get into the club....

I haven't been to the rage for a very long time. I use to go way back in the days when Thursday nights was the place to be. The music was great & everyone you knew would be there. However bouncers & the lady that take the cash were big time assess. These days Empire rocks, however, I hear Saturday night broadcast on the radio and the music was fantastic. Plan to check it out on Sat to see if it still can live up t o what it was back in the dys. Some hip hop is ok, but a lot can be boring. I think techno & 80s music are good because the beat is what get you off your feet. YOu can only bounce up & down to hip hop.
