Since 1962, the Bosdyk family has operated a restaurant at this location. The restaurant's first incarnation was a '60s-style fast-food drive-in serving frothy root beer and fun. The restaurant has matured over the years into a 1,200-square-foot fine-dining establishment with a lounge-style oval bar sure to fit all the local regulars and those just passing through. Bosdyk's kitchen crafts such delectables as homemade meatloaf and grilled chicken Caesar salad at lunchtime, and clams casino, fried cauliflower, and barbecued country pork at dinner. Part of Bosdyk's charm is that it's family-run: Billie, the wife of one of the owners, is the bookkeeper, and Nancy, married to another Bosdyk brother, is the banquet manager. ("Bosdyk's is a great place for a bash," Nancy is quick to point out.) You can even see Mrs. B, the founder's wife, greeting customers a few days a week. Bosdyk's is a family affair in the truest sense.
