Where in the city can you go when you really want to get your groove on? Or when you want to get down to some soul, hip-hop, jazz, funk or R&B? The Marquee mixes old- and new-school sounds from all over the continent in a decidedly modern atmosphere. Halogen lights illuminate walls and ceilings painted in colors as deep as the classic soul pumping out of the sound system most Sunday nights. Stop by on Wednesdays to savor live jazz from local and nationally known performers. On Thursdays shake it at the Caribbean dance party. DJs spin funk and R&B every Friday night, and Saturdays the Marquee goes Latin. The full- service bar offers drink specials and happy hours several nights a week.
