This lesbian-owned and -operated bar is the place to come to dance, play pool or relax in one of the many nooks and corners of this cozy club. Sisters is primarily a hangout for women, but you’ll find both sexes and all ages here, from college girls to grandpas.

The dance floor’s in the center of the space, and they play just about every kind of music, from disco to house to techno to R&B and oldies -- a musical concoction that one manager calls “happy happy music.” Beyond the DJ booth is a lounge area with a couple of couches, stuffed chairs, lighted mirrors, and a ceiling mural of Michelangelo’s “Creation of Adam,” with two voluptuous female figures in place of God and Adam. There are plenty of corners for conversation around the edges of the dance floor. There’s also a pool table with a seating area, and an outdoor patio with more tables and chairs.
