Rate and Write a Review Families load up the wagon and mosey down to this Wild, Wild West theme park which moved to the Gila Reservation in 2006 -- for burro rides, shooting games, cowboy chow and live entertainment. Rawhides dusty desert streets and wooden buildings with plank porches are plucked right out of the pages of history. Gunslingers roam freely, interacting with visitors and having a shootout with each other every few hours. Of course, the guys in white always win and the bad guys just get their pride wounded. The town sports a general store, Native American trading posts, Western wear stores and a tintype photo booth where guests dress up in 1880s clothing. Adventurous cowpokes climb the Dead Man's Drop rock wall and ride the Widowmaker mechanical bull. Camel rides and a petting zoo with miniature horses are suitable for any tenderfoot. At the Rawhide Steakhouse & Saloon, guests ''steak their claim'' on a juicy porterhouse, rattlesnake appetizer or a giant dish of Grannys homemade apple-cinnamon cobbler. The bar features two antique player pianos, live music and a bit o gambling if youre feeling lucky. Additional grub is available at the Wagon Wheel Cafe or at the Pepe Lopez Margarita Stand, which serves double-handed drinks big enough to be a meal. While strolling the dusty streets, be on the lookout for the long arm of the law. Visitors deemed ''miscreant'' are likely to get nabbed by the sheriff and thrown behind bars - - but just long enough for a few laughs and a souvenir mug shot.
