Honey's Sit n Eat   

Being a child of the 60s, it felt like a trip back to those days of peaceful coexistence and natural surroundings. the women here seemed as if they were plucked right from the flower child catalog, but with the now obligatory tatoo statement. the staff was very friendly although they needed to be prompted 3 times about our drinks. And they could have been more familiar with the menu contents and availability. Removing plates could have been quicker too. But the food is the key focus here. Very good selection and variety to pick from. We tried the special turkey club which was great, except that the bread got soggy and overwhelmed by the lettuce and dressing, so it was unmaneuverable by the end. The homemade veggie burger was done to request and was very tasty. A surprising bit of spicy flavor but it didn't take away from the taste. I would order again. Our little one, who is a very picky eater, loved the mac & cheese. We all tried and gave it thumbs up. The big hit, although not the healthiest selection, was the fries with cheese and bacon. In fact, the leftovers that went home, were quickly eaten by our brother in law who was on his way to dinner. he couldnt stop till they were gone. we ordered the chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert. After reminding two different wait staff that we were waiting on it, our waiter finally came back and said there was none. The bill for 2 sandwiches, drinks, the fries and a side of m&c, was $42 plus an$8 tip. A total of $50 for lunch is a bit steep. So for the prices and spotty service, I'd give it 4 stars. Once the suits and golf shirts find this place there will be no getting in, so go now.

I went to Honeys' this past Sunday and WOW was I surprised. First of all, we pulled up around 7:45 AM and there was one gentleman waiting, while the staff was preparing the outside eating area. By the yime 8 AM arrived, the crowd increased to well over 20 people, with more arriving rapidly. Once seated, the staff was very attentive and served coffee to all immediately. The breakfast was great. The homefies were out of this world and all in all, I can't wait to go back. Our waitress, Angel was on the ball, and served us well. It was truly a great experience.

Very nice menu but a little pricey for what they serve.

i finally got a chance to eat here after reading all the great reviews on the internet. the decor is a mish-mosh of random items mixed with restaurant supplies, pleasant to look at but not distracting. i was glad to get a window seat being that the inside was a little too dim for my taste. my sister got the whole wheat pancakes with pears, strawberries, and cranberries. it was good, but was made delicious after we requested some whip cream that wasn't too sweet and you could tell was made on the premises. i got some scrambled eggs, a delicious honey sausage, potato latke, and a homemade limeade which went very nice with the meal. my brother got the fried chicken with hushpuppies to which our very cute, and pleasantly blunt waitress replied "have you ever had these.. i think they suck but i'm not a hushpuppy girl" it wasn't rude, but in facthilarious which jus added to the fun experience we had. the bill came to under $30, I will be back to try the surprisingly extensive menu for such a homey, mom n pop lookin place. oh, jus remember, its cash only
