Mug's is a cross between your grandmother's favorite bingo hall and one of the Sopranos' family businesses; locals dont come here for the ambience but rather for the all-you-can eat food specials. Monday through Friday, pints are just $1 during Happy Hour, and during the week the eat- 'til-you-can-no-longer specials, such as barbecue pork spare ribs, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken Parmesan over spaghetti - a Mug favorite - fried shrimp, clam strips or haddock fillet, are all priced at less than $7. Thursday nights are also Wing Night, with 10-cent wings; and Fridays are Clam Night, with $3-a-dozen specials.Mugs is also known for its burgers. The Mugsie Burger is topped with cheese, bacon and house dressing, and the appropriately named Ugly Burger is topped with mushrooms and melting Swiss cheese. -- Kristen Fulton
