Built in the mid-1800s, this depot originally served as the epicenter of tourism in the Poconos. Through its doors scrambled vacationers from New York City and Philadelphia. The rail activity was in its prime at the turn of the century when the "Phoebe Snow," a state-of-the- art passenger car, attracted well-to-do vacationers to the area. The 1930s ushered in special ski-trains, which carried tourists to their winter resorts. Though rail service to the East Stroudsburg Station came to a halt in the 1970s, today this historic railroad station is bustling with activity again as waiters slide by with trays of entrees, all-you-can-eat salads and the restaurant's coveted poppyseed bread. Daily specials range from delicate twin lobsters stuffed with crabmeat to the " Mailbag," a combination of baby back ribs, BBQ chicken, and Angus strip steak. --Kristen Fulton

The first time we went to the Depot it was OK, but the last two times it was a total disapointment. The prices went up and the portions got alot smaller and the service was terrible.
