Buried somewhere in the past is the origin of this landlocked restaurant's name, so don't ask. But we can tell you that the Coastline opened more than 20 years ago and is an impressively large, diverse and popular dining and drinking venue. The restaurant has a capacity of about 600 and a menu that includes steak, seafood, veal, chicken dishes, and all sorts of sandwiches. On Monday through Saturday, lunch is served 11am- 3pm, early bird dinner specials are available 11am-5pm, and regular dinners are served 3pm-1am. Sunday early-bird dinner specials end at 3pm. There are no lunch specials on Sundays, but you can order sandwiches at any time on Sunday or any other day.The restaurant's adjacent lounge holds 700 or so. A banquet seats up to 200 people. The Coastline frequently hosts benefits and parties for large associations. Happy hours, including a free buffet, take place 4pm-8pm Monday through Saturday. A meat-carving station is available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Monday is Oldies Night, Wednesday is Ladies Night, and weekends are always busy. The band Retro Express plays on Thursday. Special bachelorette packages ? $16 per person, open bar 9pm-1am - are provided Friday and Saturday nights.-- David McKenna

I love the Coastline on Monday's. Varied age group... as the night gets older the crowd gets younger...but drinks are good, service is great, dancing is fun and it's always good to meet friends for a good time.

Nice place for a date

It's a nice place to go have a nice meal and a drink or two or just have a drink. The employees are really nice ,polite & friendly.The music is nice.It has a dress code ,some senior citzens but it is a nice place to go and even take a date too!

We ate in the restaurant. The service was horrible. The food mediocre. The bar is fun if you are with friends and the oldies night is fun. Too much smoke. You leave smelling like a cigarette. Yuck!
