From the Editors
Franklin Field was rebuilt 72 years ago, and is
chock-full of history. It is recognized by the
NCAA as the oldest operational football stadium
with the nation's first scoreboard as well as the
first two-tiered stadium. It is also home to a
few other firsts: the first football radio
broadcast, and Vince Lombardi's only playoff loss
in the NFL.
