A gradually sinking-star...used to be "the" place for a "big indie" show, but thanks to its super-uptight neighbors, its slid quite a bit. If its cold out, just show up late, otherwise you'll be in line for an hour. The staff is reasonably friendly so long as you act the same...but the drinks are too expensive, and the sound is really dodgy...I'd say 1 in 5 shows will have good sound, the rest being a muddy mess. Still better than the TLA, but unless they get some more neighborhood clout this will be nothing but a memory within 10 years.

quite amazing place to see a show and when dasbboard played they actually hung around the room and i met themand got their autographs so special things happen at the troc!! and i m going to something corporate show on the 14 i cant wait!

On Saturday April 27 I saw Our Lady Peace along with American HiFi and the Sheila Divine. It rocked! When OLP came on and I was toward the center of the crowd it got a little crazy but you can just move over a little bit and you're out of the clamor but still close to the stage. The entire night was fun!

I just went to the Trocadreo Wed. night to see Great Big Sea, and although there weren't many chairs, the sound was great and the staff seemed friendly.
