This Times Square hotspot is so sure of its fiery food it can recite a rota of its top barbecue influences from the Southern states. 'Real barbecue' is a particular taste: the barometer is not a Zagat rating or food critic, but the quality of the sauce dripping off your finger; and only you can be the one to lick it and decide. Two levels of family-style home cooking provide a tour of the Deep South. Start with the Oklahoma State Fair corndogs and deep-fried corn meal hush puppies. Leave lots of room for Carolina crab cakes, Kansas City fried chicken and platters of Memphis pork ribs, Texas beef brisket and Owensboro lamb. It's all smoked, sauced, sliced, fried, pulled and overwhelming. If you're still sober, wash it down with a moonshine or specialty ales and recite the motto aloud: Barbecue is pig as a culinary art.

Bad food and bad service

If you are from North Carolina do NOT order the Carolina pulled pork thinking you are getting something similar. It is not!! It was pulled meat that tasted like it had been soaked in tomato paste. Yuck!! Also, one of the main reasons I went there was I had seen them online and went to their web site and it said the had lemon chess pie. I had not had chess pie since I was a child in NC so I was really looking forward to it. The waitress said "oh I don't know why that's on the menu since we haven't had it since i have been here." Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to eat. Whenever we wanted something it was hard to get the waitress eye to take care of us.

WOW! Open Friendly, Delicious, A Menu selection Biggern' The Pan Handle, so scrumptious you'll feel like your cheatin' on your Grandma's Kitchen, and portions as "Big-As-All-OutDoors." Neither your belly nor your wallet will leve hungry or unsatisfied.
