Accomplished Tuscan food is savored here in a felicitous garden setting or indoors amid exposed brick walls and a wood-fired pizza-making area. Nothing fancy here, just little dining moments of profound pleasure. Executive chef Salvatore Corea worked with some of America's great chefs before immersing himself in this cucina. His expertise shows in a lemon vinaigrette with fried lightly battered eggplant, zucchini flowers, beets and green tomatoes; and in a roasted garlic bruschetta with Gorgonzola served with a marinated tomato salsa. Even humble kale stands up and salutes and the porcini-mashed potatoes are a must. Chicken and salmon entres and homemade spinach-ricotta ravioli in a brown butter sage are also good. One complaint: The thin-crusted pizzas seem scantily dressed.

Step into Grandma's Kitchen!
By worldhaus on 01/17/2006
From the first moment I stepped into VaTutto, I knew I had landed on a special place. The ambiance and warmth felt like stepping into my own Italian Villa. The service is quick to greet you and make you feel even more comfortable! The wine list is most impressive. Obviously, only a real authentic knowledge of Italian food is brought to the table. Every bite...amazing! Coming back for more!

Beautiful garden, food tastes great, the gnocchi serving was minimal but interesting and flavorful. Gorgonzola cheese on dessert list, definite plus. Servers are knowledgeable about the food. However, no balsamic vinegar with the olive oil and bread. Overall, a pleasent evening.
