Rate and Write a Review This busy, old-world-charming wine bar fits right into the neighborhood while maintaining its individuality. Anyone swimming in oenophile circles knows an uva is a juicy, thin-skinned fruit, like a grape, and its name signals a special list of sommelier-selected wines. The cellar here is not bottomless, with about 75 kinds of Italian and American selections available by the glass or bottle. Resist the traditional urge to order only tiny-bite appetizers of cheeses and meats, and enjoy a full menu of Italian entrees such as lucanica (thin sausage spirals in a white-wine sauce) and veal cannelloni. Food is served well past midnight, and there's an early lunch on weekends.

best for everything
the first time i saw Uva I was blown away by its old world charm excellent food and great service. When you are in Uva you forget that you are in N.Y.C.
Its as close as you can get to Italy.
My favorite!
I'm there at least once a week, usually more. Try the truffle dishes!!!
