The name of this Park Slope restaurant suggests Moroccan flavors. Rather than alluding to sultry North African romance, the dcor is spare and homey with off-white walls, sconces, and simple wood tables and chairs. There are as many Middle Eastern-flavored dishes as not on the menu, and all are prepared with high quality, organic ingredients and a creative edge. A Middle Eastern salad, fattoush, comes with wild mushrooms and a perfumed dressing. This can be followed by succulent oxtails enlivened by jalapenos. An artisan cheese plate is served simply, complemented by fruit, but the breadbasket can include an assortment of flatbreads scented with North African spices. Prices are reasonable and reservations are not accepted, so be prepared to wait during peak hours.
