A bright beacon on Broadway's Upper West Side, Lenny's is clearly among the best bagels in New York. The popularity might stem from the 18 bagels a dozen policy (buy 12, get 6 free) but most likely it is how they are handcrafted and have a perfect crust. Open from before sunrise through dinner, Lenny's offers bagels for any meal of the day. People stop by daily for their breakfast of a warm everything bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese or oat-bran bagel with tofu-scallion cream cheese that tastes pretty much like the real thing. Typical sandwiches of egg, tuna and whitefish salad come on your bagel of choice, and Lenny's offers warm barbeque chicken sandwiches and turkey burgers, also on bagels. Not totally obsessed with bagels, Lenny's also supplies bialys, yogurt muffins, cinnamon rolls and knishes.

Amazing variety!!

Lenny's has the most unusual bagel selection...there are ones that have chocolate in them and others have heath conscious ingredients...You should check it out! They also have the best bran muffins, and chocolate muffins around. All their muffins are great..but the bagels are delicious, and with 6 extra for free when you buy a dozen, how can you miss!!!!..makes you feel like H&H are kind of stingy with their measly one free bagel per dozen...! :-/ All bagel lovers should check this place out...!

Was my favorite Bagel place for 12 years running when I lived on the UWS. But the Lox Cream Cheese was the best.

Great Bagel's...

This store has some great bagels. Very crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside like they are supposed to be. They have a large selection that would make purists squirm. Their My Ex Bagel is to die for. It's cheddar and jalenpino pepper mix is terrific. They have lots of different kinds of bagels. And a good mix of spreads too. All of their sandwichs come with soup. So lunch is quite affordable here. Try them and I'm sure you'll be a repeat customer.
