If you're going to call yourself Goodburger, your burgers had better, you know, be good. It's the first in a chain of burger joints, and like chains nowadays, it has an angle. Goodburger's is that it grinds its own meat, and each patty is hefty, extra juicy, and cooked to order. There's no blue cheese or chipotle ketchup options, just traditional burger fixins, and the fries are thin-cut and crispy. The menu is to-the-point, with grilled cheese and grilled chicken sandwiches filling out the rest but for the drink menu, which includes fountain favorites like lime rickeys and thick milkshakes. The neo-old-timey decor, with tiled floor, rich red vinyl banquettes, and marble countertop, makes a sit-down meal comfortable enough, even if most business seems to be get-and-go.
