Rate and Write a Review The name, which is Korean for "a strong woman", is appropriate since it is run by Jenny Kwak and her mother. Packed in the evenings with couples and a hip crowd, this popular downtown Korean restaurant feeds off East Village stalwarts in healthy doses. The dining room is small and subtly decorated, setting a casually intimate mood with soothing colors, soft lighting and old scriptures hanging on the wall. Unlike other Americanized Korean eateries, this one doesn't brandish tabletop grills. Sample the menu, which is in English, for the feisty favorites, which include the ubiquitous bibimbop, and kimchee or spinach-and-clam soup. For the uninitiated, there are mildly spiced dishes; for a real experience, go for anything pork-related, such as the spareribs. Sure, there may be a higher concentration of Koreans in other areas like Flushing, but, as one customer put it, "that would involve going to Flushing." -- Yon Motskin
