If dinner at Delicia is indicative of how well one can eat in Brazil, start packing. True, the whitewashed walls and spare dcor aren't much to look at, but it's a good place to go for tasty comfort food, Carioca-style. Jose Fonseca, the restaurant's affable owner-chef, has put together a menu of his favorite foods from home: fresh, hot cheese rolls, crisp fried yucca and, of course, the Brazilian national dish, feijoada. Delicia serves a particularly delicious version of this stew of black beans and pork that's just melting off the bone, served with rice, collard greens, orange slices and farofa, a kind of Brazilian polenta made with yuca. Another popular dish is the camaron na moranga, shrimp in a creamy coconut sauce over butternut squash. For dessert, try the flavorful mango and passion fruit mousses or the Brazilian flan.
