Closed as of May 2006 This storefront, which serves barbecue and other Southern delicacies at extremely reasonable prices, is a welcome addition to Park Slope. Sandwiches include a pork shoulder sandwich, a fried catfish sandwich and a BBQ bologna sandwich, each with one side dish included like fries, tangy collard greens, red beans and rice, macaroni and cheese, mixed greens and, natch, fluffy, buttery biscuits. You can also get a half-rack of ribs with two side dishes. The best value, however, is a double-dipped fried chicken platter that also comes with two sides. You get about half a chicken on your plate, which is extra-large to accommodate the bird and the hefty helpings of side dishes. Biscuit, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, is primarily a take-out joint, and if you choose to eat in, be prepared for some kitschy, uncomfortable, flea-market-style benches, chairs and tables. But given Biscuit's prices, it's no surprise there's often a big line of people at 7PM, waiting to get their grease on. -- Andy Wang

My husband and I ate there several times. Once for the pig roast. We were not impressed and the biscuits were overpriced and not very good. They should change the name if that's the case.

The food was very disappointing, the chicken breast was over fried and hard. The whiting fish sandwhich had no seasoning and was bland. The biscuit had no flavor and the homemade lemonade which the cashier told me it was really powder was weak like water. I saw Biscuit advertised on channel thirteen, I also trust PBS but this time they made a Big Mistake. I hope Al Roker Dosen't waste his time Going there On March 29, 2005. A person who would give this place more than a ONE Star Rating dosen't know GOOD Southern Food.

The food was really bad. The ribs and chicken tasted as if they had been cooked the day before, the biscuits were dry and tasteless and the sides were even worst. Because of the great review, I was anxious to try it, but was sorely disappointed.
