Kick off your spurs, park that pickup and loosen your belt a few notches: It's down-home, back-road barbeque time. Like a large, Southern sprawling ranch of grazing cattle, the many Manhattan locations of Dallas BBQ have staked their claim on the major signposts of the city, including two in the Village, two uptown and one midtown in the backwoods of theater country. In Texas, this kind of place may be a dime a dozen, but in New York it is rare. In a casual laid-back atmosphere, the meaty menu offers pure grilled sensations, like Hickory-smoked baby back ribs, smoked brisket and rotund rotisserie chicken. At over a pound of sirloin, the burgers are arguably the biggest in the city. The full bar doesn't go easy on the portions either, with "Texas-size" frozen margaritas, coladas and daiquiris flowing in frosted mugs.
