This tiny charmer derives its name from an 1890s bronze cash register whose elegance sets the tone for the cafe's offerings. Fennel and langoustine quiche, portobello, tomato and cilantro salad, jambon and Brie baguettes and rosemary roasted chicken are among some of their savory lunches, all of which are complimented by homemade lemonade, teas and desserts like lemon cake, apple brown betty, white chocolate and dried cherry cookies. You can take out the food, or if you're lucky, find a seat and dine there.

This is one of thee most amazing restaurants I have ever eaten at. I'm not even a huge meat person and I still thought it was amazing. Everything was perfect!!! Anyone who thinks this place isn't of great quality, well then they don't know what an outstanding restaurant experience is!!!!!

You'll never go wrong at Antique Cafe. The food and service were excellent. The fried mushrooms were to die for! The waiters were very helpful with information about the menu and wine list. Thanks for the delicious steaks and a wonderful dining experience!

Antique Cafe is a great
By emmygilny on 12/25/2007
Going to Antique Cafe is a great experience. The food is delicious, specially the Eggplant Caviar, service is great and most of the time they have great selection of Jazz music. Prices are not low, but are reasonable considering what you are getting. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in New York City.

Great for Lunch but I prefer
By mutiaputrila on 12/13/2007
I prefer to visit during Dinner. The Lunch crowd makes for a very noisy environment and most of the time a bit of a wait to get in.
The pannini sandwiches are more than a meal, but just don't have that authentic taste. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy them and order them on a fairly regular basis.
Overall, you can't go wrong with this restaurant!
