Luna Lounge, a tiny Ludlow Street venue that was open for a decade before shuttering in 2005, has found an affordable -- and much larger -- piece of real estate in Williamsburg. While the Lower East Side club could only cram in about 90 people, its Brooklyn digs accommodate 350. Luna's new venue boasts clear sightlines and a large rectangular bar; Most of its concerts are indie rock-centric. The dcor is standard-issue Billyburg chic, with wood finishes and a dearth of seating options. It really feels like a huge, sparsely decorated loft. The club ferries an impressive amount of history across the East River -- the LES space was known for hosting every unsigned band on Manhattan Island, and it's where the Strokes, Interpol and Elliott Smith cut their teeth. Its Monday night comedy series, meanwhile, featured the likes of Jon Stewart, Ed Helms, Janeane Garofalo and Sarah Silverman.
