From the Editors

Everyone seems in good humor at Failte, an Irish country house of a pub with dark wood ceiling beams, rough-hewn bar and wood-burning fireplace big enough to roast a goat in. They have Guinness, Harp and Magner's Cider on tap, but they call themselves a whiskey bar, and carry a full line of familiars such as Bushmills, Powers and Tullemore Dew. The treats, however, are the hard-to-find Irish whiskeys like Bushmills Malt, as well as one of the best, Middleton Rare. Failte also provides patrons with something to temper the booze, serving a variety of inexpensive fried food and mini pizzas. There's a second bar upstairs, which opens on busy nights or for parties; and to remind people of why they might want a private party, there are a few suggestions posted including holidays, divorce parties and exorcisms. -- Dan Glass (Photo: Noah Kalina)

Practically... Bouncers are cool, bartenders work hard and are fun. Bring a date... bring some friends. Also the best place in the city to have a private party.
