Located in lovely downtown Goodland, near Naples, Stan’s is legendary for both the shenanigans of its proprietor — who entertains the regulars (mostly locals and winter residents, plus fisherfolk) with jokes, songs and antics — and its special events, which include fish-cleaning contests, a mullet festival, fashion shows, dance contests and an annual “Men’s Legs Contest.” You can sit outside at the dockside chickee or inside the air-conditioned dining room and enjoy the seafood-intensive menu (peel-and-eat shrimp go for about $10 a pound during the summer). Owned by the same family for 30 years.
