At 821 you'll find gleaming white tablecloths over every table and an informal yet classy crowd hanging out on the deck. Check out the high -end wine list with lots of California reds and whites; while you sip and peruse the menu, keep in mind that the new chef has big ideas about food. Constantly searching for inspiration, 821's chef brings a Pacific Rim flavor to his dishes, combining ingredients in new ways to wonderful new ends. Digging for inspiration in Asian flavors for the most part, with a touch of Caribbean and Indian influence (try the shrimp egg rolls or the fusion Peking duck salad), the young and motivated chefs will prepare you something that's out of this world, all in a timely manner with friendly service. Huge windows keep the place bright and airy, even with the luscious, deep-red walls as a backdrop. If you're feeling extra adventurous, peek into the open kitchen and tell the staff about any new spices you've come across lately. Chances are that these crazy kitchen gurus may take you up on your suggestion. Maybe they'll even name a dish after you.

Frog Hugger's July 2007 Review

Great food, average service. NEVER had a bad meal there. Emphasis on quality rather than quantity in their dishes. Friendly bar with popular Happy Hour drinks and snacks.

Better to go elsewhere.

We had six in our party. We had no trouble making a reservation 4 days before for a Saturday night and that should have told us something. We arrived early (5:30pm) and my first impression was when we first walked in it didn't feel clean and there was an oily smell in the air. It was pretty empty when we arrived and it took a while to get our drinks and wine ordered and meals. Several hours later the place was full. My husband asked if they would substitute Fries for the mashed and they said no problem. when they came the were soggy and his Sea Bass, their specialty, was not good. My friends ordered pot stickers, I thought they tasted oily. The bisrto salad was good as was my Mahi Mahi was good. would I go back? NO. There are a lot of good restaurants in Naples that are better. I did have high hopes.
