One of the Grand Strand's only true live music venues, House of Blues books artists individually, so dates and ticket prices change. Artists vary from heavy-hitting newcomers like Paula Cole and Ben Harper to "classics" like ZZ Top and Rick Springfield. Don't expect to be able to sit down, however; this place is usually standing room only. The menu offers Southern- style entrees with plenty of seafood and meat selections. Be sure to visit during the weekly gospel brunch, which is held every Sunday morning. The buffet includes everything from fried and barbeque chicken to made-to-order omelets. --Tamar Anitai
